Boulder Town Hall
Letters From the Past
Thursday 1 October & Monday 5 October | 10am – 1pm
Step back in time at Boulder Town Hall, explore the Museum, discover historic objects, and create your own letter from the past. Write or draw your message, decorate it and seal it in a real envelope just like people did long ago!
Cost: $4 per child. Bookings essential. Suitable for those aged 5 to 12 years.

Goldfields Community Pavilion
Club Pav: Kidz Takeover
Friday 9 October | 5pm – 8pm
Taking place at the Goldfields Community Pavilion presented by KALeidoscope 2026, the Kidz Takeover will transform the pavilion into an exciting rave-inspired space with upbeat music including DJ Dorothy the Dinosaur, dancing, entertainment, colourful lighting and plenty of energy.

Science Meets Art: Worlds Beyond the Eye

Bring something tiny and we will make it enormous!
Take a turn at the controls of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and travel across surface details too small for your eyes to see. Find strange landscapes in dust, dog hair, a butterfly wing or the object you bring with you. Hunt for clues. Hear the stories behind the specimens and imagine what other stories might begin there. Use the lines, shapes, textures and patterns you discover as starting points for printing, drawing, building and storytelling. Create a creature, object, place, pattern or something that has no name yet. Make work to take home and add your ideas to a giant shared world that will keep growing across the week.
Bring one tiny, clean, dry, safe and non-precious object to examine under the SEM.

Singing for Superstars Workshop with Jake Dennis
Thursday 8 October | 2pm
Join Perth entertainer Jake Dennis for a fun 90-minute vocal performance masterclass, where you'll pick up practical tips to help to improve vocal endurance, strength, and technique, boost your stage presence, and get more confidence performing.
Suitable for those 12-25 years. Booking required, email: youth@ckb.wa.gov.au
Confident singers are encouraged to prepare a short song they wish perform on stage to receive some supportive feedback and tips for improvement. Email: jakedennis@hotmail.com with your name, backing track, and booking confirmation by Friday 2 October.

Kingsbury Park Youth Precinct
Kingsbury LIVE

Kingsbury LIVE is a new monthly live music event bringing young and emerging local talent to the Kingsbury Park Youth Precinct. Held on the last Friday of each month, Kingsbury LIVE gives local musicians, DJs and performers the chance to take the stage and share their talent.
Come along, bring your mates and enjoy an afternoon of live music while making the most of the Youth Precinct, with extended skate park hours.

Whether you’re giving it a go for the first time or keen to level up your skills, there’s a session for you. Jump into a beginner skate, scooter or BMX clinic, or challenge yourself in an advanced clinic. Suitable for those aged 6 to 18 years.

Skate Competition
Friday 2 October | From 1pm
Roll into the skate comp and show us what you’ve got! Open to ages 6+, with all skill levels welcome across skateboards, scooters and BMX. Registrations open at 1pm.
Plus, across both days, jump into a range of free social sports, games and creative activities, including basketball, badminton, art & craft and other fun activities. Enjoy a complimentary sausage sizzle, water and light refreshments while you’re there.
Karlkurla Park
Sunset Community Bike Ride
Sunday 11 October | 4pm – 6pm
Bring your bike, helmet, friends and family, and join us as we take a community ride through Karlkurla Park. Along the way, enjoy healthy refreshments and hopefully, a beautiful Kalgoorlie sunset! We're also excited to welcome Motion by the Ocean Inc. who will be bringing their trishaw bikes to help make the event accessible for people with impaired mobility.
