Winter School Holiday Activities

Keep the kids busy, active and entertained these July holidays with a range of activities happening across our City facilities.


Boulder Town Hall

Burt Street Animal Adventure

Monday 6 July to Saturday 18 July (excluding Sundays) | Mon-Fri: 9am – 3pm, Sat: 10am – 1pm

Step onto the trail and uncover hidden animals across Burt Street! Grab your map at the Boulder Town Hall, find the animals, write down their Aboriginal names and return to the Boulder Town Hall to claim your prize!

Cost: $4 per child. Registration not required. Suitable for those aged 5 to 12 years.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


William Grundt Memorial Library

Join us for a variety of arts & crafts sessions. Come along to meet new friends, learn new skills, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

Cost: $4.50 per child per session. Bookings essential. Call 9021 7112 to book your place.

Parents or caregivers must remain on-site for the duration of the session for participants aged between 6 and 12 years.

 

Arty Puzzle

Wednesday 8 July | 10am – 11am

Decorate your own Indigenous art inspired puzzle.

Ages: 6-12 years


Creative Coasters

Thursday 9 July | 10am – 11am

Create some beautiful coasters to take home.

Ages: 6-12 years


Candle Decoupage

Wednesday 15 July | 10am – 11:30am

Get crafty using papercraft and collage techniques to create your own unique candle!

Ages:12-18 years


Cuddly Turtle

Thursday 16 July | 10am – 11am

Take a soft fabric turtle and make it uniquely yours.

Ages: 6-12 years


Goldfields Community Pavilion

Grand Opening

Sunday 12 July | 9am – 12pm

Be among the first to experience this exciting new community events space and explore a fantastic range of handmade products, local crafts, and specialty goods at the monthly Rotary Club Markets, plus live entertainment.

Drop-in Art Studio

Monday 13 July to 17 July (excluding weekends & public holidays) | Mon-Fri: 10am – 3pm

Come and explore your artistic side at the Drop-in Art Studio at the Goldfields Arts Centre.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


Kingsbury Park Youth Precinct

Skate, Scooter & BMX Clinics

Thursday 16 & Friday 17 July

Whether you’re giving it a go for the first time or keen to level up your skills, there’s a session for you. Jump into a beginner skate, scooter or BMX clinic, or challenge yourself in an advanced clinic. Suitable for those aged 6 to 18 years.

10am - 11am | Beginner Skateboard, Scooter, BMX
11am - 12pm | Beginner Skateboard, Scooter, BMX
12pm - 1pm | Beginner Skateboard, Scooter, BMX

3pm - 5pm | Advanced Skateboard, Scooter, BMX

Saturday 18 July | 11am

Roll into the skate comp and show us what you’ve got! Open to ages 6+, with all skill levels welcome across skateboards, scooters and BMX. Registrations open at 11am.
