Youth Week 2026 | Strength in Our Stories

Get ready for an action-packed Youth Week! Together with our Youth Council, we’ve lined up a bunch of awesome events for young people aged 12 to 25 across Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Come along, try something new, and get involved.

Outdoor Movie Night: Space Jam

Friday 10 April | 5:30pm to 8:30pm | Lord Forrest Precinct

Head to the Lord Forrest Precinct for a fun night out featuring a screening of Space Jam, plus Nintendo Switch games to play.

Enjoy free popcorn, candy floss and a drink!

Kal's Got Talent

Saturday 11 April | 6pm to 8:30pm | Lord Forrest Precinct

Step onto the stage, showcase your skills, and share your talent with the community for a chance to win great prizes. Whether you’re a singer, dancer, musician, poet or comedian, we want to see what you’ve got!

Enter solo or as a group, open to City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents aged 12 to 25 years.

Interested in joining the Youth Council? Come along to meet current members, learn what being part of the Youth Council involves, and ask any questions you may have.

Glow in The Dark Dodgeball

Thursday 16 April | 2pm to 5pm | PCYC Hall

A high-energy, youth-friendly dodgeball event using UV lighting, glow materials, music, and team games. Focused on
fitness, teamwork, and safe fun. Get a group of 6 friends together or come down to join a team - no registration required.

Prizes for:

  • Winning Team
  • Most Valuable Player
  • Fair Play Award
  • Best Glow Outfit
  • Best Team Chant

Additional Information

  • All events are free!
  • Events are recommended for ages 12 to 25 years. Children under this age must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
  • All Youth Week events are smoke, vape, drug and alcohol free.
