The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is pleased to announce that a Lotterywest grant of $146,000 will support a series of major community events across the 2025/26 financial year.
The grant will help deliver some of the City’s most beloved celebrations, bringing people together and creating more opportunities for residents and visitors to connect.
Mayor Glenn Wilson said this support reinforces the value of community events and the impact they have on residents and families across the region.
“Lotterywest’s support strengthens our ability to deliver the much-loved events that bring Kalgoorlie-Boulder together. From the Christmas Street Party and Multicultural Festival to KidsFest and our new fringe-style KALeidoscope, these events draw visitors, energise our city, and create the kind of experiences our community loves.”
“Every year thousands of people come out to enjoy these events, and this grant helps us build on that momentum. It means we can continue delivering high-quality experiences that are free, accessible, and memorable for families right across the region.”
Mayor Wilson said the ongoing investment in community events reflects their importance to both local life and the regional economy.
“These events do more than bring people together - they support local businesses and stallholders, showcase our community spirit to visitors, and help shape Kalgoorlie-Boulder as a vibrant, welcoming place to live, work and raise a family.”
Local Member for Kalgoorlie, Ali Kent MLA, said she was delighted to present the grant on behalf of Lotterywest.
“I’m thrilled that we can once again support the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder with $146,000 through Lotterywest, that will help deliver a vibrant and diverse 2025/26 Events Calendar. Events like the Christmas Street Party, KidsFest, Multicultural Festival and KALeidoscope help to bring our community together and make our city an exciting place for families to live.”
“These events continue to grow in popularity each year, and with this support, we can expand opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, celebrate, and enjoy what our City has to offer.”
