Festive Fun at the Seniors Christmas Lunch

Christmas cheer was on full display on Thursday as more than 400 seniors from across Kalgoorlie–Boulder came together for the City’s annual Seniors Christmas Lunch.

Held at the Goldfields Basketball Stadium, the event once again brought friends, neighbours, and familiar faces together for an afternoon of good food, great company, and the chance to reflect on the year that has been. The room was full of smiles and conversations as guests settled in to enjoy a relaxed, welcoming and festive atmosphere.

Everyone enjoyed a three-course Christmas lunch complete with dessert, refreshments, and light entertainment throughout the afternoon. Santa Claus also dropped in for a visit, stopping for photos and sharing a laugh with guests. To make the day even more memorable, each attendee received a small Christmas gift to take home, supported by the City and local partners.

Mayor Glenn Wilson and Elected Members joined the celebrations, taking time to visit tables and thank seniors for the important role they play in our community.

“There was a lot of great positive energy from the seniors today,” Mayor Glenn Wilson said.

“It’s really rewarding to see what this annual lunch means for so many people.

It brings everyone together to enjoy the festive season and share in the strong community spirit we have here in Kalgoorlie–Boulder.”

The Seniors Christmas Lunch remains a valued tradition celebrating, our older residents and the contribution they make to the life of our city.
