The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is excited to announce the return of KidsFest this year, bringing two action-packed days of activities, entertainment and hands-on fun for children aged 12 and under.
Taking place during the April school holidays, KidsFest will once again bring the Oasis Playing Fields to life with a weekend of creativity, adventure and family fun.
This year’s program features an exciting mix of science, art, music, cooking and sport, with live stage shows, interactive games and workshops running throughout the weekend.
A highlight of the stage program is the Bluey Live Interactive Experience, giving families the chance to see everyone’s favourite Heelers in a fun and engaging show. Kiddos will also have the chance to meet Bluey & Bingo during Meet and Greet sessions across the weekend.
Stage entertainment will also include hands-on science fun with Science Alive, the larger-than-life Real Dinosaurs, crowd-pleasing performances from Acrobatch Circus, and high-energy shows from K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Away from the stage, children will find plenty to explore with bouncing castles, go-karting, face painting, Reptiles with Amy, Old MacDonald’s Farm, a Silent Disco and dedicated Under 5 activity areas.
Mayor Glenn Wilson said KidsFest is one of the City’s most loved events and continues to bring families together from across the region.
“KidsFest has become a real highlight for local families, and is all about letting kids explore, play and have fun,” Mayor Wilson said.
“With the Bluey Live Interactive Experience coming to Kal, plus dinosaurs, circus acts and hands-on activities everywhere you look, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic weekend.”
Mayor Wilson said the City was proud to keep the event free for families.
“We’re really proud to be able to put on an event like this and make it free so every family can come along and enjoy it.”
“As a dad with two young boys, shows and characters like this dominate playtime at our house. With young families making up one of our largest demographics, events like this reflect the city’s growth and are core to what our community values.”
KidsFest 2026 will take place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April from 9am to 3pm at the Oasis Playing Fields.
The event is free to attend, with food vendors and stallholders on site throughout the weekend.
Pre-bookings are required for all Meet & Greet sessions with Bluey and Bingo through the City’s website. Sessions are free to attend, but ticket numbers are limited.
Pre-bookings are not required for the K-Pop Demon Hunters Meet & Greet sessions.
