Kalgoorlie Railway Station Pedestrian Bridge Refurbishment

The pedestrian bridge at Kalgoorlie Railway Station is being refurbished and is set to temporarily close from November while the works are carried out. 

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is undertaking the project, which will include repairs, repainting and upgrades to ensure the bridge is kept in good condition for people using the station precinct. 

Works are now underway, and are being delivered by Enviro Infrastructure Pty Ltd on behalf of the PTA. The project is expected to be completed by mid-March 2027. 

What’s happening? 

The works will include: 

  • treating corrosion and repainting the steel structure 
  • repairing sections of concrete 
  • upgrading the lighting 
  • replacing damaged parts where needed 
  • installing a new anti-throw cage to improve safety and protect the structure. 

Closure Dates

The bridge will be closed to the public from November 2026 until March 2027 while the works are underway. 

Signs and directions will be in place to help people move safely through the area.
