Nominations Now Open for the 2023 Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Awards
The City of Residents are invited to nominate outstanding young people, youth support workers or organisations as part of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s annual Youth Awards.
The Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of young individuals and organisations making a significant difference in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder youth community.
The six award categories include:
- Young Achiever Award
- Young Community Champion Award
- Young Cultural Leader Award
- Young Tradesperson or Apprentice of the Year
- Youth Worker or Volunteer of the Year
- Youth Organisation of the Year
Youth Mayor Braydon Donnell said the Youth Awards was a highlight of the annual schedule of events and initiatives organised by the Youth Council.
"The Youth Awards provide an opportunity for our community to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of our young leaders and service organisations, and we’re excited to receive many nominations this year.”
“We believe it is vital to shine a spotlight on the accomplishments and positive impacts young people have on our community and to offer them the encouragement and support they need.”
“There are also many who work in the youth space, providing much-needed services and support to our community and we look forward to recognising their efforts,” he said.
The judging criteria for nominations will consider factors such as demonstrated leadership on community issues, excellence in work or study, significant contributions to the local community and/or culture, positive influence on the lives of young people, and other noteworthy achievements or contributions.
Winners will receive a cash prize of $500 and have their achievements showcased throughout the year to highlight their community impact and inspire others.

Nominations close 5pm Friday, June 16 2023.
