The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is inviting senior residents, carers, and their families to attend the Living Life Well Seniors Expo - a free community event designed to support wellbeing through information, connection, and entertainment, all in one place.
The Expo will bring together a wide range of local service providers, community organisations, and support services, offering seniors a convenient one‑stop shop for practical advice, helpful resources, and meaningful connections.
Delivered as part of the City’s Age‑Friendly Strategy, the Living Life Well Seniors Expo supports the health, wellbeing and independence of older residents across Kalgoorlie‑Boulder.
Mayor Glenn Wilson said the event continues to grow each year because it responds directly to what local seniors are looking for.
“This is now the fourth year we’ve held the Expo, and it’s clear how much our seniors value it. It’s not just about accessing services, it’s about getting out, having a chat, and staying connected,” Mayor Wilson said.
“Our older residents contribute so much to Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Events like this are a simple but important way we can support them, making it easier to stay informed, involved, and part of what’s happening locally.”
A series of informative sessions will run throughout the day including, Advocare on recognising and reporting elder abuse, Goldfields Community Legal Centre on wills and future planning, the City’s Emergency Management team on preparing for extreme weather events, and Consumer Protection on staying safe and avoiding scams on mobile devices.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local groups and clubs, to explore services that support independent living, engage with healthcare and community providers, and share feedback with City staff on local services and facilities.
The Expo will feature a varied entertainment program, including performances by local choir director and band leader Robert Graham, vocalist Emma Schimanski, an Outback Boot Scooting show, and a sing‑along led by Debbie Short and Val Coufos.
Free refreshments and a light meal will be provided throughout the day.
The Living Life Well Seniors Expo will be held at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall on Tuesday, 5 May from 9am to 2pm. The event is free to attend, and no registration is required.
