Audit and Risk Committee Independent Member - Expression of Interest

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's Audit and Risk Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to Council regarding financial management, risk management, internal controls, legislative compliance, internal and external audit planning and reporting.
The City is seeking to appoint two suitably qualified and experienced independent persons to join its Audit and Risk Committee. Independent committee members must have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- financial management and internal control
- business management
- governance
- corporate risk management
- local government financial management and reporting
The Audit and Risk Committee meets four times per year, with additional meetings as required. The Information Pack outlines more information about the responsibilities, duties and expectations of independent members. All interested persons are encouraged to read this, the Code of Conduct for Elected Members, Committee Members and Candidates, the City’s Committee Policy and the Audit and Risk Committee’s Terms of Reference before submitting an Expression of Interest.
