Notice of Local Laws Review

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder hereby gives notice under section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995 of its intention to conduct a review of the following local laws:

• Dogs Local Law 2013.
• Cats Local Law 2016.
• Fencing Local Law 2010.
• Health Local Law 2001.
• Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law 2009.
• Local Government Property Local Law 2010.
• Standing Orders Local Law 2013.
• Thoroughfares and Public Places and Trading Local Law 2000.
• Urban Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2000.

Copies of the local laws may be downloaded from the City’s website here. 

Alternatively, printed copies may be inspected or obtained from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie, during normal business hours.

The purpose of the review is to determine whether the local laws remain effective, contemporary and suitable for the needs of the community and the City.

Members of the public are invited to provide feedback on the local laws under review.

Submissions can be made online via the City’s website or in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Written submissions can be collected from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie or William Grundt Memorial Library, 13 Roberts Street, South Kalgoorlie WA 6430. These submission forms may be emailed to mailbag@ckb.wa.gov.au or posted to PO Box 2042, Boulder WA 6432.

Submissions must be received by 5pm, Friday 11 September 2026.
