Notice of Public Advertisement of Planning Proposal

The City has received an application for an occupational health and safety training facility on the abovementioned property (Reference No. D151/25). The proposal is a use not listed under the Local Planning scheme No 2. Following the 16 of March Ordinary Council Meeting 2026; Council determined the following:
- That the use of the site as a training facility (as a ‘use not listed’) is consistent with the objectives of the Service Commercial zone in Local Planning Scheme No. 2.
- Subject to the development being re advertised and no objections being received during the advertising period, approves the development application for Lots 101, 2691, & 3428 (No. 223 - 225) Boulder Road, South Kalgoorlie WA 6430, subject to conditions.
The comments from surrounding owners/occupiers are now invited.

Proposal: The applicant seeks to utilise the existing building for occupational health and safety training courses; hands-on training in plant and machinery operation; storage; and sale and hire of safety gear, PPE, tools and other equipment.

Submissions may be made on the proposal up until Saturday, 2 May 2026. Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the local government in writing on or before that date.
