The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has, for the third year, launched the Go Local First campaign to promote local businesses in the city ranging from tourism, hospitality, retail, home based businesses, trades, professional and mining support services and more.

The City knows that supporting local business happens in many forms, from shopping at your favourite boutique, supporting a home-based business, dining out at a local restaurant, to hiring a tradie to get that long-awaited home project completed.

From Saturday 2 April, customers can enter a competition as part of the campaign to win one of four weekly prize draws of $250 Kal Dollar Vouchers! To enter, customers can scan the provided QR code and enter their details when they shop or dine locally.

If you are a local business and would like to be involved in the Go Local First initiative, you will access to a range of opportunities including marketing promotional competitions, development programs, business events and  business to business trade.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler encourages all residents to `Go Local First’ and do their shopping here in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.“It is important we continue to support local businesses who employ local people, support the community and make our City a great place to live,” said Mayor Bowler.

“It’s our local businesses who are supporting our sporting clubs and community groups and giving our kids – the next generation of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, their first jobs.”

“Now more than ever we need to focus on keeping our spending in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, so support our local businesses. Buying local is an investment in our community and our future, and it’s an investment we’re all making when we choose to ‘Go Local First’.”

This program is delivered by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in support of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Businesses.
