The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Summer Vibes youth program starts this week, offering free and discounted entertainment options for Kalgoorlie-Boulder young people aged 12-25.
Summer Vibes is a passport-style booklet giving young people the opportunity to experience and enjoy alternative leisure opportunities from local providers and businesses throughout the summer school holidays.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Acting Youth Mayor Braydon Donnell said the Summer Vibes booklet empowers young people in the City to connect with businesses they may usually not have the resources to enjoy.
“Youth Councillors have been planning this holiday program for some time and are excited to see young people getting out there taking advantage of the free offers and discounts.”
“We want to ensure all young people have the ability to access local entertainment these holidays, and the passport will ensure that everyone is able to enjoy what’s on offer at local venues and facilities.”
“Programs like this are important for young people of all ages, and we thank the local businesses and entertainment providers who have come onboard to ensure young people in the city have lots to do these summer holidays.”
The offers include a free one-hour gaming session at BMG Gaming Lounge E-Sports Centre, a free skating session at the Palace Theatre Recreation Centre, a free popcorn and drink at Orana Cinemas, a free swim and slide session at the Goldfields Oasis, a free medium bucket of balls at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course and $10 off entry at Archer Boulders.
Summer Vibes passports are free and can be collected from the City’s Administration Building, the Goldfields Oasis, William Grundt Memorial Library, or the Kalgoorlie Visitors Centre. For program information, including terms and conditions, visit the Summer Vibes event page here.
