Garage Sale Trail

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is taking part in Australia’s pre-loved festival and hosting the Second Hand Marketplace! In partnership with Garage Sale Trail, the City will be holding a community garage sale at;

Lord Forrest Complex from 8am – 12pm on Saturday 19th November 2022.

Households, schools, community groups and local businesses are all invited to host a garage sale or shop the Trail, joining a nationwide movement that sees over 3,500 tons of stuff sold and diverted from landfill.

For shoppers, it's a great opportunity to pick up a bargain (just in time for Christmas) and chose to give a second chance to something that otherwise would have ended up in landfill.

Registering your free stall at the community garage sale is a simple process that takes no more than five minutes. Once you've completed the online registration, you’ll get a free listing on the national map (viewed over 2 million times in the lead up to the event) plus stacks of free promotional materials and support so you don't have to go it alone.

With over 3 million items going up for sale every year across Australia, you can find pretty much anything on the Trail. From rocket powered jet packs to llamas, apartments, a lifetime collection of Stars Wars memorabilia and even two grandpas who were listed for cups of tea and biscuits, the Garage Sale Trail can produce some pretty epic finds!

In the name of reuse, it's all about second hand, from pre-loved furniture, kids toys and books to clothing, vinyl, knick knacks and more. Home-made crafts and fresh produce are also welcomed.
